In the early hours of January 18, 2024, Pakistan executed successful strikes against terrorist hideouts within Iran. These hideouts were linked to recent terror attacks in Pakistan, which resulted in the martyrdom of numerous military personnel and civilians.
The strikes were precise, utilizing drones, rockets, loitering munitions, and stand-off weapons. Utmost care was taken to minimize collateral damage. The hideouts, used by the banned terrorist organizations Balochistan Liberation Army and Balochistan Liberation Front, were effectively targeted in an intelligence-based operation named 'Marg Bar Sarmachar'.
Pakistan executed these precise strikes on seven locations within Iran, targeting the safe havens of Baloch terrorists deep within the country.
Social media recordings have surfaced showing Baloch Saramchars expressing concern about a lack of communication with their Indian handler, Shankar. These recordings confirm that the strikes were successful against the BLA and BLF camps.
It is widely known that the BLA and BLF are funded by the Indian intelligence agency, RAW, which is involved in destabilizing Pakistan. Pakistan had been providing Iran with evidence of these terror outfits operating from within its borders, but no action was taken to counter the BLA and BLF.
The targeted hideouts were known to house notorious terrorists, including Dosta alias Chairman, Bajjar alias Soghat, Sahil alias Shafaq, Asghar alias Basham, and Wazir alias Wazi, among others.
The Pakistan armed forces maintain a constant state of readiness to ensure the safety of Pakistani citizens against acts of terrorism. Their resolve to safeguard Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity against any misadventure remains steadfast.
The ISPR reaffirms its determination to defeat all enemies of Pakistan with the support of its people.
'Marg Bar Sarmachar', a Persian phrase meaning 'Death to Insurgents', was the code name for this intelligence-based operation. Iran has confirmed that many people were killed in the strike.
The Pakistan Air Force successfully hit the targets of the BLA and BLF. While Pakistan does not advocate for war, it reserves the right to defend its country and its people if Iran or any other country escalates the situation.
The ISPR suggests that dialogue and cooperation are the prudent ways forward in resolving bilateral issues between the two neighboring countries.
