Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Qalbe Abbas on Saturday decided to join the Pakistan Peoples Party ahead of the forthcoming general elections, slated to happen on February 8.
Abbas had also announced his full support for Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
Ashraf had welcomed Abbas into the PPP.
– MQM-P’s Aslam Afridi joins PPP –
Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Aslam Afridi joined the PPP on Friday.
Addressing the press conference flanked by Dr. Asim Hussain, Afridi said, ‘’ I did not have any issue with the ticket with the MQM-P. However, the MQM-P is missing genuine leadership’’.
Meanwhile, Dr Asim Hussain said, ‘’Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will soon tell what to develop in Karachi.’’
The PPP leaders expressed optimism that the party would win the elections in Karachi.
