Indian batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav has cemented his dominance in the shortest format by clinching the ICC Men's T20I Cricketer of the Year award for a second consecutive year.
In 2023, Yadav amassed a staggering 733 runs in just 17 innings, boasting an impressive average of 48.86 and a mind-blowing strike rate of 155.95.

His batting prowess was on full display as he unleashed four blistering half-centuries and two magnificent centuries throughout the year.
Yadav's leadership qualities also shone through when he seamlessly transitioned into the captaincy role following Hardik Pandya's injury.
He led from the front, smashing impactful half-centuries against Australia and South Africa before culminating the year with a breathtaking century against the Proteas in just 56 deliveries.
This year also witnessed Yadav etch his name in the record books by registering India's second-fastest T20I hundred, reaching the three-figure mark against Sri Lanka in a mere 45 deliveries.
He currently shares the record for most T20I centuries (4) with Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell.
Yadav's exceptional performance didn't go unnoticed by the ICC selection committee. They not only awarded him the T20I Cricketer of the Year title but also named him the captain of the ICC T20I Team of the Year, announced on January 23.
India's dominance in the T20I arena was further amplified by the inclusion of three other players in the ICC T20I Team of the Year: the explosive opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, the fiery pacer Arshdeep Singh, and the skilful spinner Ravi Bishnoi.
