Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam on Wednesday acknowledged the spinners’ quality in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Speaking to a Bangladeshi website, Azam shed light on his cover drive, saying, “I had worked hard on my cover drive as this shot is my strength and will help me bag confidence.’’
He was of the view that Asian batters have to face challenges playing in New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa. ‘’The only solution to all problems is to prepare yourself for the bounce and pace.’’
Azam said, “Whenever I go from the rough patch, then I take consultations with many people. I used to learn from my mistakes.’’
He emphasised the need for team combinations in T20s, saying, "Though there is a need for youngsters in T20s, the importance of the senior players cannot be sidelined as well.’’

Separately, after powering his team to a comprehensive victory, Shehzad took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, saying, “Good to contribute a few runs to my team's victory tonight! A couple of days off, and we go once again.”
