Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam on Friday praised Fakhar Zaman, saying the latter mounts pressure on the opponents on his day.
During a live session on Twitter Space, Azam said, “The innings against Australia are memorable." Speaking about his role model, he said, “My father is a role model for me. I am more close to my father, but I have a unique relationship with my mother.”
Speaking about his time in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Azam said: “This is my second season in the BPL, which I am really enjoying.” He shared his food experience in Bangladesh, saying, “Food in Bangladesh is a bit sweeter, but still enjoyable.”
He recalled the moment he was appointed as the Pakistan national team’s skipper. “It was the emotional moment when I was named as the captain.”
“My biggest dream is to be part of the World Cup-winning team,” he said.
Spilling skincare secrets, Azam said, “I do not use any cream for the beauty of my face."The only thing I do is ensure that I get enough sleep. The rest are the blessings of the Higher Power.”
He acknowledged the Pakistan Super League (PSL), saying, “I believe that the PSL is a top-level league tournament.”
Recalling the defeat against Zimbabwe in the T20 World Cup 2022, Azam said: “It was a heartbreaking moment to lose a match against Zimbabwe.”
Azam said, “Ali Zia and Ijaz Ahmed had extended support to me.”
He revisited his struggling days, saying, “There were times in my life when I used to work at the shop at 6:00 a.m. I used to play cricket during breaks. These moments paved the way for me to get myself active.”
