Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Yousaf Raza Gilani on Tuesday said that his party will implement its manifesto if voted into the power.
Addressing the workers’ convention in Multan, the former prime minister said: "We will provide employment to the citizens. As we had served jail for the sake of creating the employment opportunities for others."
He took a jibe at the opponents saying, "There are some people whose software had been updated by spending merely one day behind the bars."
– PPP manifesto will represent masses –
Gilani on Wednesday expressed optimism about his party’s “triumph” in the forthcoming elections.
Expressing his thoughts in Multan, Gilani said, “No doubts should be raised about the elections after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and Chief Justice.”.
He was of the view that one of the biggest challenges the masses were facing was ballooning inflation. “We are formulating a strategy to control inflation.”
Speaking about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Gilani said: “Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who is not contesting the elections, will miss me.”
“The PPP’s manifesto will represent the masses,” he said.
