The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced on Tuesday that it will form the government in central Punjab with the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM).
Addressing the press conference in Islamabad, PTI Secretary Information Raoof Hassan said: "We will form the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, we will form the government along with the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI)."
Hassan said: "On the instructions of the PTI founder, we will form the government in the two provinces [Punjab, KP]."
"It is up to Ali Amin Gandapur to form the government as per the instructions of the PTI founder," Hassan said.
He ruled out any possibility of alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).
"Aamir Dogar had once again been appointed as the chief whip," Hassan said.
Hassan said, "It has also been directed to hold the PTI intraparty elections soon."
– PTI collected heavy mandate without election symbol –
PTI leader Barrister Gohar asserted: "The PTI had kept far from the elections."
Expressing his thoughts, Gohar said: "The PTI has emerged victorious despite the fact that its leadership is facing detention."
"We had collected a heavy mandate despite not having the election symbol," the PTI leader said.
Gohar stated: "The PTI had clinched victory in three Islamabad seats. In Balochistan, we had bagged four seats."
"In Punjab, we have 115 seats. The party had bagged 16 seats in Sindh," he stated.
He said: "We will form the government by joining hands with the small political parties."
"Our people have been offered up to Rs250 million," he claimed.
– Intra-party elections –
PTI leader Barrister Ali Zafar said the PTI founder was taken on board in line with finalising the political decisions.
"We have started working on the formation of the government," Barrister said.
Speaking about the intra-party elections, Zafar said: "The intra-party elections will be held within 10 days."
"The names of the political parties, with whom we will form alliances will surface soon," he added.
"The PTI founder has suggested the name for the key posts," Zafar said.
