Lahore Police and law enforcement security personnel made fool-proof security arrangements for PSL season 9 while overseas players started reaching the city of Flowers—Lahore.
Over 16,000 police personnel will perform security duties during PSL as a security plan has been prepared for matches in Rawalpindi and Multan.
Islamabad United’s Colin Munro and Tymal Mills arrived in Lahore while Islamabad United will start their campaign with a match against Lahore Qalandars.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that the PSL season 9 edition will begin on 17th February.
He ordered effective management should be made to maintain fluency for the convenience of the public and said the duration of the traffic closure would be minimized, citizens would be informed about alternative routes through the media in time.
Lahore DIG Operations Police said that a security plan will be prepared to provide full security to fans including cricket players wherein more than 7000 personnel would perform duties.
As per the security plan, 13 SPs, 36 DSPs, and 81 inspectors would be deployed while the situation would be continuously monitored by the cameras of the Punjab Safe City Authorities and citizens would be allowed to enter after passing through four-tier security.
