Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nadeem Afzal Chan said on Friday that his party was having contact with JUI-F supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Speaking exclusively to Samaa TV, Chan said: "We will also hold negotiations with the other political parties."
Chan stated, "Both the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and JUI-F are answerable to their own workers, respectively, on the bilateral alliance."
"The complaint has been made for not allowing the PPP any space in Punjab. We have told the PML-N committee about not having good experience in the past with the party," Chan said.
"We had hold talks with the PML-N about economic reforms, local government, and privatisation," Chan said.
He said, "The PPP demand from PML-N was not merely limited to the constitutional posts. The consultations between committees of both the PPP and PML-N had entered the final phase."
Labelling the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as "inept", Chan said: “The electoral watchdog had played a controversial role.”
Hitting out at the GDA, PPP leader Sharjeel Inam Memon said: "The GDA had not emerged victorious in the local body elections. There have been developments following the recently held elections."
Memon stated: "The PPP had bagged a clear majority in Sindh."
Recounting the "contributions" made by his party, Memon said: "During the coronavirus panademic and the flash floods, only the PPP was active."
He said: "These [GDA} people only pour onto the streets during the election days."
