Peshawar Zalmi captain batter Babar Azam won the toss and decided to field first against Quetta Gladiators in the second PSL 9 match being played at Lahore’s Qaddafi Stadium Sunday.
Quetta Gladiators made 206 runs at the loss of five wickets in 20 overs and put 207 runs target for the Peshawar Zalmi.
Babar Azam said he wanted to make use of the overcast conditions to deal early blows to his opponents and vowed to restrict them to 160.
Gladiators captain Rilee Rossouw said: “It’s going to be a great challenge, it’s a new season and we are all excited about it,” he said, adding “You never know what’s a good score until both teams have batted.”
