Shoaib Malik broke the news of marrying actor Sana Javed in a post on January 20.
The Mirza family and team Sania in a post on Instagram said: “Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now. She wishes Shoaib well for his new journey ahead.”

Indian news agency, the PTI, quoted Sania's father Imran Mirza as saying on Saturday that "it was a khula", which refers to the right of a Muslim woman to unilaterally divorce her husband.
Who is Sana Javed?
Sana Javed was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to Pakistani parents and her family hails from Hyderabad Deccan, India. She moved to Lahore with her family and later graduated from the Karachi University.
In October 2020, she married singer Umair Jaswal in a private nikah ceremony at her home in Karachi. Both separated in 2023.
On January 19, 2024, she married cricketer Shoaib Malik at a ceremony at her home in Karachi.
