This decision marks a significant development following the court's decision to uphold the ECP's plea, which deemed the previous intra-party elections of the PTI null and void.
The Supreme Court cited administrative irregularities, specifically noting the PTI's failure to adhere to its own Constitution, as well as the provisions outlined in the Election Act 2017 and Election Rules 2017.
In a bid to bolster its representation across the provinces, Ali Amin Gandapur emerged as the PTI president for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Haleem Adil Shaikh assumed the mantle of PTI Sindh president.
However, the focus now shifts to the province of Balochistan, where the intra-party election for the PTI Balochistan presidency is slated to take place in Quetta.
