In the wake of devastating floods wreaking havoc in Gwadar district, the resilient spirit of Pakistan Army's doctors shines through as they tirelessly serve their fellow countrymen amidst the crisis.
Mobile medical teams, spearheaded by the Pakistan Army, have been deployed to provide essential medical aid and care to those affected by the calamity.
Set against the backdrop of inundated landscapes and displaced communities, these medical camps serve as beacons of hope for thousands grappling with the aftermath of the floods.
Among the dedicated medical professionals on the ground are Dr Zainab and Dr Afshan, both esteemed members of the Pakistan Army. Dr. Zainab, the wife of Lt. Col., and Dr. Afshan, a Major, epitomize the essence of humanitarianism as they selflessly extend their expertise to alleviate the suffering of their fellow citizens.
With unwavering dedication, Dr Zainab and Dr Afshan have collectively treated over 1500 patients, providing much-needed medical aid and free medicines to those in need.
Their commitment to the cause is underscored by Dr. Zainab's assertion, "People of Gwadar are our own people; they needed us, and it was my duty."
In the face of looming health risks exacerbated by the floods, the Pakistan Army's medical teams, in collaboration with civil authorities, are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the provision of comprehensive healthcare services to affected communities.
For Dr Afshan, the past five days have been marked by a steadfast focus on caring for the most vulnerable, including the elderly, women, and children, underscoring her unwavering resolve to stand in solidarity with the people of Gwadar during their hour of need.
