Lahore Airport Customs officials intercepted a passenger attempting to smuggle in 18 high-end Apple iPhones. The individual arrived on Oman Airlines flight WY-343 from Muscat.
The estimated value of the undeclared iPhones exceeds Rs 7 million, which is roughly equivalent to $9,700 USD. Customs officers flagged the passenger and upon inspection, discovered the undisclosed mobile phones.
The passenger has been detained by authorities as they investigate the incident further. A case has been registered against the individual for violating customs regulations.
