Pakistan's IT industry showcased its talents on the global stage at the Leap 2024 Saudi-Pak Tech Exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
With 74 companies and 800 delegates representing Pakistan, the event, organized by the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@sha) in collaboration with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and the Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh, drew major attention.
This year's exhibition saw participation from 172,000 attendees representing 183 countries, making it a truly international affair. The Pakistani IT industry's pavilion emerged as a focal point, attracting IT representatives from around the globe.
The inauguration of the pavilion was graced by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Farooq, and Zohaib Khan, Chairman of P@sha. Their presence underscored the importance of the event in fostering bilateral ties.
During the expo, Pakistani software and IT companies seized the opportunity to forge business relationships with leading firms from Saudi Arabia and beyond. This marks a significant step in expanding the horizons of Pakistan's IT sector.
Last year's LEAP 2023 exhibition yielded substantial returns for Pakistani IT firms, with investments totaling $9 billion and B2B matchmaking leading to over $100 million in generated leads.
The impressive presence of Pakistani firms at the Saudi-PakTech Expo underscores the potential for strengthened collaborations with the Middle East in the realm of IT, as highlighted by the Pakistani Ambassador.
