Pakistan Army, in collaboration with Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital, organised a groundbreaking initiative to address the scarcity of healthcare facilities in the Landi Kotal region of Khyber district.
Over the course of two days, a Free Eye Camp was set up to offer complimentary eye check-ups and treatment to the local populace.
During this unprecedented event, skilled physicians and dedicated nursing staff administered screenings and vision assessments for a total of 1021 patients.
Additionally, complimentary spectacles and medicines were distributed to those in need.
Furthermore, 190 individuals requiring further treatment were referred to Al-Shifa Eye Trust in Rawalpindi, with over 20 slated to receive cost-free eye surgeries.
The community expressed heartfelt gratitude to the senior officials of the Pakistan Army for orchestrating this invaluable medical outreach.
Residents emphasized the profound impact of such initiatives, particularly in light of the region's deficient healthcare infrastructure.
