In the second round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier, Jordan won the match against Pakistan at Jinnah Sports Ground Islamabad on Thursday.
The match started at 2:00 pm. Jorden scored three goals while Pakistan was not able to score a single goal but put up a fight.
Pakistan team goalkeeper Yousaf Ijaz Butt gave an outstanding performance during the match. He saved many ‘sure goals’ including a penalty.
Jordan's Musa Al-Altmari was declared man of the match.
Jorden scored the second goal against Pakistan. Jorden’s team scored the first goal in the first two minutes since the game started.
This is only the second meeting between Pakistan and Jordan. The nations’ only other encounter was in a friendly in 2006, which Jordan won 3-0.

Kayani has dreamed of playing at the highest level since childhood.

President and Principal at Queen Mary University of London Colin BaileyColin Bailey posted an appreciation post on his LinkedIn and praised Kayani.
Originally from Surrey, Kayani was selected for the Chelsea Elite squad at age 11 and now plays for semi-professional Whitehawk F.C. and hopes to continue with football after he graduates. Kayani commutes to Queen Mary University and says he was drawn to study there because of its diversity and academic rigour as a member of the prestigious Russell Group. “Queen Mary has a great mix of people and I've made some brilliant friends for life here,” Kayani says, “Learning new skills at a top university has been very rewarding.”
