Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has decided to form a grand alliance with opposition parties in the next 48 hours.
A joint meeting of six opposition parties will be held today in the first phase of the session.
The parties that would be part of the grand alliance are Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Majsal-e-Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM), BNP-Mengal and Pakhtunkhwa Awami Mili Party (PAMP). Sunni Itehad Council (SIC), would also be included in the grand alliance as a party.

On February 8, millions of Pakistanis exercised their right to vote and voted to elect their representatives in the four provincial assemblies and the National Assembly of the country.
After the polling, the counting of votes began and after about three days, all the results of the National Assembly seats have been completed.
According to the provisional results, the results for 264 out of 266 seats of the National Assembly have been announced. In one constituency, NA-8, election could not be held due to the killing of a candidate, while the result of another has been withheld by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
