Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and members of his top Saudi delegation called on President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Tuesday vowed to cement ties between the two countries in multifaceted sectors.
The Saudi delegation congratulated President Zardari on becoming the president of Pakistan for the second time and apprised the President about the investment plan for Pakistan. President Zardari assured the Saud delegation led by the foreign ministry of KSA of complete support.
Both sides agreed to enhance trade ties in the future.
Saudi Foreign Minister said Saudi Arabia attached great importance to relations with Pakistan.
“Saudi Arabia is determined to establish a strong partnership with Pakistan,” the Saudi Foreign Minister said.
Both sides discussed the regional situation, and recent developments in the Middle East were also discussed in the meeting.
The Pakistani and Saudi Arabia delegation countries insist on an immediate and unconditional ceasefire and an end to Israeli atrocities in Gaza.
Both parties also discussed issues of bilateral importance and challenges facing the Muslim Umah.
Shehbaz Sharif says Pakistan grateful to Saudi leadership for investment interest

The Prime Minister welcomed the delegation to Pakistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a long-standing relationship which is unprecedented.
Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan in difficult times. The Saudi delegation's visit to Pakistan immediately after Eid-ul-Fitr is welcome. The Prime Minister further said that the visit is the beginning of a new era of strategic and commercial partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Pakistan wants to further promote cooperation in the fields of trade and investment between the two countries. Pakistan is taking steps to promote foreign investment and make partnerships with brotherly countries mutually beneficial.

A high-level Saudi delegation, led by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud is in Islamabad to hold meetings with Pakistani leadership to enhance bilateral cooperation in diverse sectors.
The visit is aimed at lending positive impetus to enhanced bilateral cooperation and mutually rewarding economic partnership.
The delegation consists of Saudi Minister for Water and Agriculture, Minister for Industry and Mineral Resources, Deputy Minister for Investment, Head of Saudi Special Committee and senior officials from Ministry of Energy and Saudi Fund for General Investments.
The visit takes place essentially to expedite follow up on the understanding reached between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammad bin Salman, during their recent meeting in Makkah to enhance bilateral economic cooperation.
