Friday's suicide blast in Landhi area of Karachi has shaken the city, but amidst the tragedy, tales of heroism and resilience have emerged.
According to the report released by the bomb disposal squad, one of the terrorists was carrying at least 10 bombs, but it was the swift action of individuals and security measures that prevented further devastation.
One of the key elements in thwarting the attack was a bread supply van, which came in between the attackers and the targeted vehicles, absorbing much of the impact from the explosion and minimizing casualties. The bravery of security guard Noor Muhammad, who valiantly confronted the terrorist, played a crucial role in preventing a more catastrophic outcome.

Tragically, Muhammad lost his life in the line of duty, but his actions undoubtedly saved countless others. Additionally, his quick response also resulted in the injury of the second terrorist before police arrival, ultimately leading to the neutralization of the threat.
Investigations into the incident have revealed alarming details about the explosives used by the terrorists. The bomb disposal squad recovered 10 grenades and a grenade launcher from the scene, with the suicide bomber's jacket weighing between four and five kilogrammes and carrying 3kg of explosives, including gunpowder, ball bearings, and nails.

Furthermore, investigative sources have uncovered additional weaponry, including three rifle grenades and two machine guns.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has reached out to the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) to aid in identifying the suicide bomber, with collected DNA samples set to be analysed for further investigation.
