In anticipation of the upcoming visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to Karachi on April 23, the Commissioner Karachi has declared a public holiday in the city.
This announcement comes as both private and government offices, along with educational institutions, will remain closed on the said date, as per an official notification released today.
Sources indicate that President Raisi's itinerary includes a visit to the iconic Mazar-e-Quaid, paying homage to the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Additionally, it is reported that the President of Pakistan will host a dinner in honour of President Raisi, highlighting the significance of the bilateral relations between the two nations.
The visit of President Raisi is expected to strengthen the ties between Iran and Pakistan, fostering cooperation in various fields including trade, security, and cultural exchanges.
As preparations are underway to welcome the esteemed guest, heightened security measures are expected to be implemented across Karachi to ensure a smooth and secure visit for President Raisi and his delegation.
