The Punjab government announced on Wednesday the balloting schedule for Punjab Bike Scheme 2024.
Provincial Minister for Transport Bilal Akbar Khan chaired a meeting to evaluate the scheme's progress aimed at supplying 20,000 bikes to deserving students.
The meeting underscored the staggering response from students, with applications surpassing the 100,000 mark, reflecting an overwhelming enthusiasm. During the huddle, May 10 was finalised for the balloting of 20,000 bikes.
Expressing satisfaction at the unprecedented student interest, Minister Bilal Akbar Khan highlighted the inclusivity of the scheme, noting that applications from female students outnumbered those from their male counterparts.
Assuring transparency in the balloting process, Minister Bilal Akbar Khan emphasized the government's commitment to fairness. Rigorous scrutiny was applied to applications flagged for objections, ensuring adherence to procedural integrity.
