'Fire & Blood', a history of the House Targaryen set 300 years before the events depicted in "Game of Thrones," was the basis for "House of the Dragon," an HBO original series that debuted in August 2022. "Game of Thrones" concluded its eight-season run in 2019.
As important characters fight for control of the Seven Kingdoms, the series "explores the complex dynamics of ambition, loyalty, and betrayal as it is set in a world of dragons and dynasties," according to the press release.
