The Bishnoi community has extended an olive branch to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, offering forgiveness for his past mistakes.
This gesture marks a new chapter in the long-standing controversy between Salman and the Bishnoi community.
Bishnoi community's Chief Devendra Budiya announced that they are willing to consider forgiving Salman if he himself apologizes and seeks forgiveness at their temple.
"If Salman himself apologizes, the Bishnoi society will consider the apology... If he himself comes to the temple and seeks forgiveness, our samaj (community) could think about forgiving him," Budiya said.
This development comes after Salman's ex-girlfriend, Somy Ali, apologized on his behalf for the 1998 blackbuck hunting incident. While the community has accepted Somy's apology, they have made it clear that only Salman's personal apology will be considered for forgiveness.
The Bishnoi community has been demanding justice and an apology from Salman for over two decades, considering the blackbuck sacred and his actions causing widespread outrage and hurt. By forgiving Salman, the community has demonstrated its commitment to peace and harmony.
