Princess Kate Middleton, battling cancer, is currently unable to make significant decisions, a royal insider revealed.
The 42-year-old Princess of Wales, whose diagnosis brought King Charles to tears, is focusing on her recovery, delaying crucial choices such as staff appointments.
King Charles, 75, resumed his public duties last month, attending multiple royal engagements in May. A source close to the royals told GB News, “The only thing that matters at the moment is her getting better. She has been through an ordeal this year. What this means in practice is that big decisions, such as the appointment of new staff, can wait.”
Kensington Palace emphasised the Princess’s role in the monarchy's future, granting her ample time to recover. “There is no need for her to be seen while she’s recovering,” added the source.
A spokesperson from Kensington Palace mentioned, "Early childhood is a huge priority for the princess and so she has been kept fully updated throughout the development of the Taskforce’s work and she has seen the report."
King Charles is reportedly very protective of Kate during this difficult period. Their relationship has deepened since her diagnosis, with the King recognizing her bravery and her pivotal role in the monarchy’s future.
Christopher Andersen, author of “The King,” noted, “Charles was moved to tears by Kate's stunning video announcement that she has cancer. He sees her as, in a word, brave.
He also knows better than anyone that the future of the monarchy is to a considerable extent in her hands. She is not only the wife of a future king but the mother of a future monarch.”
