The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has announced that the exams postponed on May 28, due to the national holiday declared on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer, will now take place on Sunday, June 2.
The federal government had declared May 28 a national holiday to commemorate the day when Pakistan conducted successful nuclear tests in 1998. As a result, the BSEK had postponed the exams scheduled for that day.
According to a spokesperson for the education board, the rescheduled exams will be held concurrently with the intermediate annual examinations at the same examination centers.
This means that students will not have to worry about finding new locations or adjusting their schedules significantly.
The exams that were postponed include the Urdu Normal Course, Sindhi Normal Course (Compulsory), Geography of Pakistan Paper-I, and English Literature papers for ninth class (Science Group) students, which will now take place in the morning shift on June 2.
Meanwhile, matric class (General Group) students will take their Arabic, Persian, and Household Accounts papers in the evening shift on the same day.
