The selfless actions of soldiers, particularly those like Ghazi Lance Naik Mazhar Iqbal, highlight the true spirit of sacrifice.
Lance Naik Mazhar Iqbal, who served in North Waziristan for three years, was involved in an anti-mining operation when he stepped on a landmine laid by terrorists. The explosion resulted in a severe injury to his foot, leading to its eventual amputation. Despite this, Iqbal expressed unwavering commitment to his duties and country.
During Eid al-Adha, Iqbal shared his experience and the support he received from the Pakistan Army. "After the operation, when I was admitted to the hospital, the Pakistan Army did not leave me alone on the occasion of Eid. My officers and family came to meet me and appreciated my love and sacrifice for the country," he said.
Iqbal emphasized the resilience and strong faith of the soldiers, asserting that their determination remains unshaken by terrorist threats. "Our lives are present for the country and the nation. Many Eids have to be spent at the border under duty. Our intentions are very strong and our strength is our faith which can never be weakened," he added.
