The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) governing board convened in Lahore to address concerns regarding the national cricket team’s recent performance, particularly in the T20 World Cup.
Members expressed their disappointment and stressed the need for immediate steps to enhance the team's performance.
The board highlighted the importance of implementing reforms in domestic cricket, asserting that improvements at this level are crucial for the national team's success.
Chairman PCB, Mohsin Naqvi, assured the members that measures will be taken promptly to address these issues.
He emphasized the introduction of new domestic tournaments aimed at bridging the gap between domestic and international cricket. He conveyed his commitment to hosting the upcoming Champions Trophy in an exemplary manner, ensuring that all matches will be held in Pakistan.
The PCB chairman Naqvi also promised that stadiums would undergo significant upgrades, meeting international standards to provide the best facilities for players and spectators alike. He affirmed that post-gradation, these stadiums would rival any other international cricket venues.
