The Bangladeshi team chased down Sri Lanka's total of 263 with ease, boosting their confidence ahead of the upcoming tournament.
Sri Lanka initially had a strong start, with their openers adding 64 runs before Kusal Perera had to retire due to a shoulder injury. Pathum Nissanka played a crucial role, contributing 68 runs from 64 balls. However, off-spinner Mahedi Hasan's three wickets disrupted Sri Lanka's momentum, as they reached 263 all out with five balls remaining.
Bangladesh's opening pair, Liton and Tanzid, set the tone for their chase with a partnership of 131 runs in just 20 overs. Liton scored 61 runs from 56 balls, while Tanzid played a confident knock of 84 runs from 88 balls, including two sixes and ten fours.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz, leading the team for the day, finished the job with an unbeaten 67 runs off 64 balls, along with Mushfiqur Rahim (35 not out), forming an unbroken partnership of 76 runs for the fourth wicket.
Both teams have one more warm-up match before their respective World Cup opening games on October 7th. Sri Lanka will face Afghanistan in Guwahati, while Bangladesh will meet England in another warm-up game before their World Cup opener against Afghanistan in Dharamsala.
