In the Lahore District and Sessions Court, the case involving anchorperson Ayesha Jahanzeb's allegations of domestic violence against her husband saw a development.
Ayesha Jahanzeb and her husband reportedly reached a reconciliation agreement during the hearing on Friday.
During the court proceedings, Ayesha Jahenzeb was asked if she agreed to reconcile voluntarily. She affirmed her consent, stating that she is reconciling of her own free will. "Whatever happened was torture and should not happen to any woman," she said in the court.
Upon the judges' decision, Ayesha Jahenzeb accepted it wholeheartedly, stating, "Whatever decision the honourable judges have made, I accept it."

Further, Ayesha Jahenzeb conveyed her decision not to pursue the case any further. The decision was finalized in the presence of witnesses, she added.
Meanwhile, the court granted bail to the suspect, Haris, following the proceedings. The Sarwar Road police station had filed a case against Ayesha's husband, Haris.
On July 10, Ayesha Jahanzeb's husband was arrested on charges of torture following a case filed by her.
Ayesha Jahanzeb had alleged that she hd been subjected to violence by her husband at least thrice over the past year. She sustained serious injuries from the alleged torture, prompting her to seek legal recourse, she stated.
In the FIR, it was stated that Ayesha was tortured and injured by her husband. On Ayesha's request, the police took swift action, leading to Haris's arrest. Following his arrest, Haris was produced before a judicial magistrate, who approved a physical remand for two days.
