Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahrabaluch's weekly news briefing reacting to the US statement on the PTI ban issue said Pakistan could solve its own internal problems.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said banning any political party is an internal matter of Pakistan and other countries should refrain from commenting.
“The court verdict related to PTI highlighted the strength of the judicial system,” spokesperson of FO commented on the SC verdict on reserves seats case in favour of PTI — to become the largest party in Parliament if ECP notified reserved seats as per the verdict of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Foreign Office spokespersons said an invitation has been received for the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Iranian president and decision will be made only after the discussion that who would go and attend the swearing-in ceremony.
Foreign Office Spokesperson's response to Kenyan court's verdict on Arshad Sharif Shaheed case said FO seen the media reports of the court's decision on the Arshad Sharif case and "our legal team is reviewing the decision of the Kenyan court.”
Pakistan conveyed its concerns regarding the attack on Bannu Cantonment to the Interim Afghan government as use of Afghan soil for terrorism in Pakistan is a matter of concern.
“It is hoped that Afghanistan will take action against the Gul Bahadur group and the masterminds of the Bannu attack,” the spokesperson said.
“We strongly demand the Interim Afghan Government to take immediate and effective action against those responsible for the July 15 attack and ensure that Afghan soil is not used for terrorism against Pakistan,” she said.
FO spokeswoman said Pakistan condemned Israel's attack on Palestinian refugee camps and martyrdom of 19 Palestinians in the Khan Younis refugee camp attack is a violation of UN laws.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said Pakistan also condemned Israel's actions against the establishment of a viable and independent Palestinian state. Israel has no right to decide the future of Palestinian lands.
Pakistan has once again asked the Afghan authorities to take immediate and effective action against terrorist groups including their sponsors and backers.
At her weekly news briefing in Islamabad today, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said Pakistan has provided concrete evidence of individuals and groups responsible for terrorist incidents inside Pakistan. She said we expect the Afghan authorities to disarm the TTP and Gul Bahadar Group, and hand over their leadership including those involved in terrorist incidents to Pakistan.
The spokesperson said the Afghan authorities know the whereabouts and actions of these individuals.
Responding to a question, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said Pakistan will continue to defend itself against all terror groups and ensure the safety and security of its people.
Alluding to the Indian oppressive tactics in illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the spokesperson said Pakistan will continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people for the just and peaceful settlement of Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolutions.
