Intermittent light rain is anticipated in Karachi and coastal regions of Sindh starting Wednesday night and continuing into Thursday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The PMD has reported that monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are currently penetrating the upper parts of Pakistan, complemented by a prevailing westerly wave in the region.
Under these meteorological conditions, Karachi and coastal areas of Sindh can expect cloudy weather with sporadic light showers. Conversely, other parts of the province are likely to experience hot and humid conditions.
For Thursday, Karachi’s maximum temperature is forecasted to range between 33-35°C, with a slight increase to 34-36°C on Friday. Similarly, Hyderabad will see maximum temperatures between 33-35°C on Thursday, rising to 34-36°C on Friday.
During the last 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed across most parts of Sindh. Sukkur and Mohenjo-Daro were the hottest locations, with maximum temperatures reaching 39°C. In Nawabshah and Dadu, the maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature reached 32°C, with relative humidity in the evening measured at 72 per cent. Hyderabad recorded a maximum temperature of 33°C, with evening relative humidity at 61 per cent.
