Pakistan's Test captain Shan Masood has called on his team to elevate their game as they gear up for a crucial two-match Test series against Bangladesh, commencing on August 21.
The series is part of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25, where Pakistan currently holds the fifth position in the standings.
In a press conference held on Sunday in Rawalpindi, Masood emphasized the importance of securing victories in the remaining nine Test matches.
He stressed that a positive and aggressive approach is vital for the team's success in the competition.

“If we want to stay competitive in the World Test Championship, we need to deliver wins. This demands a proactive and positive mindset across all aspects of our game—batting, bowling, and fielding,” Masood asserted. “Our goal is to achieve the best possible results for Pakistan. We must win a substantial number of these nine upcoming matches.”
With seven of these nine fixtures scheduled to be played at home, Masood is optimistic about the team's prospects. “Playing at home is advantageous as our players are well-acquainted with local conditions.
However, handling both mental and physical pressures will be crucial,” he noted.
The Bangladesh team, initially set to arrive in Islamabad on August 17, will now land in Lahore on August 13.
They will train at the Gaddafi Stadium from August 14-16 before traveling to Islamabad for practice sessions at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from August 18 to 20.
