In a separate statement, the US Consulate General in Karachi joined the American public in celebrating Pakistan's Independence Day, marking not only the country's 77th year of freedom but also 77 years of diplomatic relations between the United States and Pakistan.
The message emphasized the mutual goals of economic growth, shared prosperity, and regional stability that have defined the partnership over the decades.
US Congressman Pete Sessions of Texas also conveyed his best wishes to the Pakistani people on the occasion. In his message, he recognized the contributions of Pakistanis living in the United States, particularly in fields such as commerce, medicine, and technology.
Congressman Sessions highlighted the importance of the bilateral relationship between the two nations, emphasizing the interdependence of the U.S. and Pakistan for a better world.
