Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in the Razmak area of North Waziristan district, killing three Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists and injuring one, the military's media wing said on Friday.
According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched on reported presence of Khwarij (TTP terrorists) in the area.
"During the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place between security forces and the terrorists, resulting in the killing of three TTP terrorists affiliated with Fitna al Khawarij," it added.
The ISPR statement added that one terrorist was injured in the gunfight. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists, who were involved in terrorist activities against security forces and target killings of innocent civilians.
Security forces are conducting a sanitization operation in the area to eliminate any other terrorists, the statement said, adding that they are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
