Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Farid was critically injured after being shot at by armed assailants in the Chohar Sharif area of Haripur.
The judge was attacked while entering a mosque, and he was immediately transferred to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
According to police reports, the incident occurred when Judge Farid was on his way to perform his prayers. The police have launched a swift investigation into the attack and registered a case against the suspects involved.
The Haripur district police officer confirmed that three of the four suspects named in the case have been arrested. The arrested suspects were identified as Ghayoor, Jahangir, and Shehbaz. The police are actively conducting raids to apprehend the fourth suspect, who remains at large.
The attack has raised concerns about the safety of judicial officers, prompting a heightened security alert in the region. Authorities are working diligently to bring the remaining suspect to justice and ensure the safety of the injured judge.
