The government has intensified its anti-smuggling efforts to stabilize the national economy and alleviate public hardship. Recent data reveals substantial seizures of smuggled goods across the country.
From August 11 to August 18, authorities confiscated 12.15 metric tons of sugar, 1102.7 metric tons of fertilizer, 281.96 metric tons of flour, 4051 cigarette sticks, 166 cloth rolls, and 0.55 million liters of Iranian oil.
The cumulative seizures since September 1, 2023, are even more significant. Officials have recovered 4893.9 metric tons of fertilizer, 1664.29 metric tons of flour, 34833.16 metric tons of sugar, 396608 cigarette sticks, 150912 cloth rolls, and 7.755 million liters of Iranian oil.
These operations target the smuggling of essential items such as flour, sugar, fertilizer, and oil, which directly impact public welfare and economic stability.
Relevant agencies remain committed to continuing their anti-smuggling operations to help the country overcome economic challenges.
