A significant shake-up within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has taken place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with some key leaders being removed from their positions.
The decision was announced by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur amid differences within the party.
According to a formal announcement, approved by CM Gandapur, PTI's Peshawar district president, MNA Arbab Sher Ali, and Peshawar region President MNA Atif Khan were removed from their party positions.
Arbab Sher Ali, who expressed relief at his removal from the demanding role, has been replaced by Irfan Saleem as the new Peshawar district president. Asim Khan has been appointed as the new Peshawar region president, succeeding Atif Khan.
Arbab Sher Ali told Samaa TV he had found out about his removal, adding that he feels relieved as it was a big responsibility. "I wish all the best to the new nominees," he remarked.
