The Pakistan cricket team is set to undergo fitness tests this week as part of the process for awarding new central contracts to the players.
According to sources, the fitness tests for centrally contracted players are scheduled for September 7 and 8 in Lahore.
The players who are under consideration for central contracts have been instructed to report to Lahore on September 6. This comes after fitness tests for domestic cricketers were conducted earlier in Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi, just two days ago.
The central contracts will be awarded based on the players’ performance in these fitness tests, making it a crucial phase for those aspiring to secure their place in the national team.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is keen to ensure that all contracted players meet the required fitness standards as they prepare for upcoming international assignments.
