Kate Middleton - the Princess of Wales - has taken a compassionate step amid her ongoing cancer treatment by writing an emotional letter to a mother whose daughter is battling coeliac disease.
The Princess, who recently stepped back from her royal duties following her cancer diagnosis, addressed Kirsty Kerr, a mother from the UK, whose six-year-old daughter, Isla, suffers from the chronic condition. In a letter that brought Kerr to tears, Princess Kate expressed her empathy and support for the family's struggles.
The correspondence, which was made public by Hello! Magazine highlighted the Princess's concern for Isla's well-being.
"I was very sorry to learn about the difficulties that your daughter has experienced, but it was heartening to learn of the progress that Isla has made," the letter read. The Princess praised Kirsty Kerr for her dedication to her daughter's health, describing her efforts as "truly admirable."
The letter, signed by the Head of Royal Correspondence on behalf of Princess Kate, concluded with warm wishes for the Kerr family, underscoring the Princess’s ongoing commitment to supporting families dealing with health challenges, even as she faces her own.
Kate Middleton's decision to temporarily withdraw from her royal responsibilities came after she announced her cancer diagnosis in March. The Princess of Wales has since been undergoing preventative chemotherapy, which has prompted her to focus on her health.
