The Punjab Forest Department has initiated a tree planting campaign in Thoha Khalsa, Tehsil Kahuta, as part of the broader "Plant for Pakistan" initiative. The program, titled "Plant Trees - In the Name of Martyrs," coincides with Defense Day celebrations to honor the nation's martyrs.
The main event is scheduled for September 5 at 5 PM in Thoha Khalsa village. During the ceremony, trees will be planted in memory of martyrs and veterans. The Forest Division will distribute free saplings and register farmers' orchards.
Local notables and youth have actively participated in this campaign, which extends to Tehsil Murree, Tehsil Kahuta, and Tehsil Kotli Sattian. In these areas, fruit trees are being planted and distributed for free, along with ongoing farmer registrations.
