Four armed bandits broke into the house of the late judge Sharif Hussain Bukhari in the Judicial Colony, Lahore.
The CCTV footage of the incident, which took place on Sunday night within the limits of Nawab Town police station, has since surfaced.
According to police sources, the robbers spent nearly 30 minutes on the premises attempting to get inside the house through the kitchen door. However, the family members, who noticed the intruders on CCTV, raised hue and cry, causing the robbers to flee the scene before they could carry out the robbery.
The police were called to the scene and have since begun investigating the incident. Evidence was collected from the site, and authorities are analysing the CCTV footage to identify the suspects. Police officials have assured that a search for the culprits is underway and they will be apprehended soon.
The residents of the area have expressed concern over the rise in such incidents and have called for increased security measures in a sensitive area like the Judicial Colony.
