Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Tourism Syed Wasi Ahmed Shah said on Wednesday that the tourism app will be launched soon.
Speaking to the media, Shah said, ‘’The work has started on the launch of the tourism application. This application will help tourists obtain information about the tourism spots across the country with a single click.’’
‘’The information will be added to the app in line with the restaurants, hotels, transport, culture, historical, and amusement spots in a bid to facilitate the masses,’’ Shah added.

Shah said that it will be assured to update the app on a permanent basis. ‘’The tourists heading to Pakistan will be given access to use the app to obtain authentic information regarding the country’s spots,’’ he added.
He said that he was trying his all-out efforts to promote tourism in the country.
Few days back, Shah emphasised the importance of tourism in fostering social, cultural, economic, and environmental values.
World Tourism Day, observed annually on September 27, has been celebrated since 1980 to acknowledge the pivotal role played by tourism in global development.
It commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Statutes in 1970.
