Renowned film director Altaf Hussain - a stalwart of the Pakistani film industry - has passed away at the age of 79.
Altraf Hussain, who had been grappling with illness for some time, was actively involved in the industry until recently, having commenced shooting for his upcoming Punjabi film, Tere Pyaar Nanu Salaam, just days before his death.
With a prolific career spanning over several decades, Hussain directed more than 80 films, leaving an indelible mark on both Punjabi and Urdu cinema.
His notable works include iconic films such as Dhi Rani, Mehndi, Rani Beti Raj Kare Gi, Ek Pagal Si Dalki, Sahib Ji, Mard Sala Sahib, Dunya, Char Khon Ke Payase, Hasan Ka Choor, Men Don't Let Live, and Chaudhry Badshah.
