The Afghan Taliban forces have reportedly attempted to build a checkpost at a prohibited spot on the Torkham border with Pakistan.
On being ordered to stop, the forces opened fire, which was retaliated with a strong response by the Pakistan Army.
The Afghan forces allegedly used small arms to fire at the Pakistan Army posts. No casualties were reported in the operation, sources said.
It should be noted that in February this year, there was an exchange of fire between Pakistan and Afghan border forces, after which all public and private activities and trade had come to a halt within Pakistan's borders.
