Veteran actress and singer Bushra Ansari expressed her concerns regarding the viral culture that has taken hold of the Pakistani entertainment industry, particularly about the rise of "new stars" like Chahat Fateh Ali Khan.
Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, who gained popularity through his parodies of well-known songs, achieved significant recognition with his latest release, a reimagining of Madam Noor Jahan’s classic hit “Bado Badi.”
His rapid ascent to fame has sparked discussions about the changing landscape of music and entertainment in Pakistan.
During a show on a private TV channel, Bushra Ansari did not hold back her feelings about the current state of music, stating, "I am completely disappointed with the viral culture in our country."
She expressed her bewilderment at the reasons behind Chahat Fateh Ali Khan's success, lamenting, "I have no words for what he and others like him are becoming famous for."
The seasoned performer emphasized her deep love for music and her distress over what she perceives as a lack of respect for the art form.
"It pains me to see music being openly disrespected. This is something I cannot tolerate," she asserted, highlighting the need for a return to genuine artistry in the industry.
