The Pakistan Army, in collaboration with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), has established the Al-Buraq E-Business Center in Okara Cantonment. This initiative is part of a broader effort to leverage information technology for national development and combat inflation.
Since its inception on January 24, the center has provided guidance to 140 students, who have individually earned up to $3,000 through e-learning and e-business skills. Former students of the center have launched over 15 companies, which are now being connected with national and international firms for further growth.
The project aligns with the Army Chief's vision to empower military families in the digital realm. By equipping them with digital skills, the initiative aims to open avenues for economic prosperity and foster a culture of innovation and self-reliance in the digital age.
This development is part of the Pakistan Army's multifaceted approach to addressing both internal and external threats while contributing to various sectors of national development. The army has identified information technology as a key target for national progress, particularly in tackling inflation.
The collaboration between the Pakistan Army and SIFC is yielding notable progress in the IT sector, alongside advancements in other fields. This initiative demonstrates the military's commitment to the welfare and future prospects of youth and students, extending beyond its primary defense responsibilities.
