Three police officers were injured on Saturday when a roadside bomb exploded near a police mobile in Bajaur tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to officials, the police vehicle was on routine patrol when it hit an improvised explosive device (IED), causing the explosion.
The blast occurred near the vehicle of Station House Officer (SHO) Shahpur Khan, who was on patrol along with other police personnel. Fortunately, the SHO and other officials remained unharmed in the attack, but three officers were injured and were immediately shifted to the THQ Hospital in Khar for medical treatment.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Abdul Aziz confirmed the incident, stating that the injured officers are receiving medical care and that their condition is stable.
Following the explosion, the police launched a search operation in the area to apprehend the culprits responsible for planting the bomb. Security in the region has been heightened as authorities work to identify and arrest the perpetrators behind the attack.
