Unknown gunmen abducted 14 laborers after opening fire at a camp of a private company on the national highway in the Musakhel district of Balochistan.
As per reports, 14 laborers were kidnapped in the Musakhel area of Balochistan. Levies and district administration teams have been dispatched to the area. Unknown individuals attacked the camp of a private company last night, setting the machinery on fire and taking the workers hostage.
Officials confirmed that levies and district administration teams were dispatched to Tehsil Durg, where the private company’s machinery was set ablaze by unidentified attackers.
It is worth noting that just yesterday in the Khuda Abadan area of Panjgur, Quetta, armed assailants entered a house and opened fire, killing multiple individuals. All the deceased were from South Punjab.
Earlier in August of this year, 23 passengers were killed in the Rara Shim area of Musakhel. The victims were forcibly removed from trucks and passenger buses and subsequently shot dead.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed authorities to take all necessary measures to bring the criminals to justice. He stated that Pakistan is determined to eradicate all forms of terrorism from its soil. The Balochistan government has vowed to avenge the attack on the laborers.
President Asif Ali Zardari also condemned the incident, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives. He called for effective action against the terrorist elements targeting workers.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi added that those responsible for the attack on innocent laborers do not deserve any leniency. He expressed his sympathies to the families of the deceased and affirmed his solidarity with them during this difficult time.
