Ahan Wickramasinghe and Lahiru Udara’s batting prowess powered Sri Lanka A to a seven-wicket victory, dashing hopes of Pakistan Shaheens at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman on Friday
Opting to bat first, the Shaheens could only post 135-9 in 20 overs. None of the Shaheens’ batters could show some significant resistance with the bat with the exception of Omair Yousuf, who was the “lone ranger” and notched up a blistering 46-ball 68, lacing with five boundaries and four sixes.
Yasir Khan (2), Mohammad Haris (6), Qasim Akram (0), Haider Ali (14), Arafat Minhas (10), Abdul Samad (0), Abbas Afridi (9), Mohammad Imran (13) failed to show any resistance with the bat.
Sufiyan Muqeem (4) and Shahnawaz Dahani (0) remained unbeaten.
For Sri Lanka A, Dusan Hemantha (4-21) had picked up four wickets.
Nipun Ransika (2-21) and Eshan Malinga (2-28) bagged two wickets apiece.
Sri Lanka A had completed the equation inside 17th over.
Earlier, the Shaheens went on to bag two victories.
